B.B. King Salutes the Blues

On February 7th B.B. King performed at Radio City Music Hall as part of the “Salute To The Blues” benefit show. Renowned artists across multiple genres and generations took the stage to celebrate their common heritage – the blues. Those appearing included Robert Cray, Bonnie Rait, Buddy Guy, Chuck D, Aaron Neville, Dr. John, Venon Reid, Shemekia Copeland and many more. B.B King closed the show! The concert was filmed for theatrical distribution, directed by Antoine Fuqua (“Training Day”) and executive produced by Martin Scorsese.

Net proceeds from the concert will benefit the Blues Music Foundation, a non-profit, international organization dedicated to the preservation of blues history, the celebration of blues excellence, support of music education (particularly the blues), and the provision of financial assistance to needy and worthy individuals who have made contributions to the blues.
