B.B. King Museum and Delta Interpretive Center
Grand Opening Announced for September 13, 2008
He started life as Riley B. King in one of America’s most
impoverished places, the Mississippi Delta. He had little
but the dream in his heart and a destiny that would take
him around the world. Now he’s an international music
icon, and music lovers everywhere want to know more
about the man who became B.B. King.
From the flat Delta landscape, a tribute to the past and
a celebration of the future is emerging. The B.B. King
Museum and Delta Interpretive Center will tell the story of
King’s life, his career, and stories of the Delta—its history
and music, social mores and race relations, literature and
legends, adversities and successes.
Mark your calendars now for SEPTEMBER 13, 2008, and
join us for the grand opening of the B.B. King Museum
and Delta Interpretive Center.
You’ll find the B.B. King Museum and Delta Interpretive
Center in B.B.’s hometown. Indianola sits squarely in the
middle of the Mississippi Delta, the land that gave birth
to American music.

Hi, B.B.! I'm 14 years old and I think you're the greatest musician ever! But I live in Germany and so I'll never get the chance to see you live, because you made your last concert in Germany in 2005 i think! Your music will never die!
Your Dominik
