I just attended your concert on November 30, 2008 in Durham, North Carolina. I was raised on the blues. Although, I was sick, I still attended. It was great. I loved it. The tape (not 8 track nor cd) I listen to every day is B. B. King and Bobby Blue Bland, Together for the first time. That is my favorite tape of all time. Mr. King you looked great and you sounded even better. I hope you come back to Durham again soon. Take care. God Bless. I love you.

To all,
B.B King has touched my heart in a really special way with his music and playing Lucille of course. My biggest wish is to have a chat with him in person I have always wanted a real autograph from the King himself since I was little.
I had a dream once that he sat by me on a wooden bench that I designed myself from me being a woman welder and sang "The Thrill is Gone" to me. That dream still lives on in my mind all the time. I wish that I could talk to him someday. B.B King is my idol of all blues players and everything that I listen to in my life.
Keep up the good work BB King you are a big star in the sky for all of us that listen to you.

I hope BB understands the impact he has had on many peoples lives. The Blues, as he once said, is not always about being sad, its about feeling good, feeling mad and yes feeling sad. Blues should move you, make you greater then the sum of your parts and enjoy living in the moment. I saw BB last year in Detroit, and was amazed at his showmanship and how much of himself he gave to the audience. He thanked our parents and grandparents for turning on all of us "youngsters out there" to his music. This humble man made everyone in the theater feel like he was just another working class stiff out for a good time. You can't say that about many other artists out there today.
I am off to work now, but i'll be ridin with the King on the drive in!

I saw B.B. King at his 75th birthday concert on Long Island, New York, along with Buddy Guy and the great Corey Harris. I was blown away by B.B.'s playing and singing, especially considering his age. I've long considered his live version of "Sweet Sixteen" (take your pick as far as the album) to be one of the most impressive vocal performances I've ever heard. I recently watched Mr. King's newest dvd and was a bit disappointed by the setlist. I also feel that B.B.'s recent albums, featuring duets with non-Blues artists aren't in Mr. King's best interests. With all this being said, it's fantastic that this new album has Mr. King digging back into his past and playing the songs he loves. This is the kind of album that I wish today's elder statesmen of the Blues would make on a consistent basis. I love new songs written by Blues legends, as well as men like B.B. and Buddy covering classic songs (especially if they are Country Blues, as in the case of the Mississippi Sheiks!), but am not much for duets with Pop stars and Blues-Rock "guitar gods". Mr. King, if you are reading this, please continue to produce records like this, which remain true to your roots. There's nothing wrong with trying new things, but this is the album that your diehard fans have been waiting for for years. Thank you very much! Sincerely, Daniel Pepper
I have been a tremendous fan of Mr. King's for going on 30 years. It is so refreshing that he is still releasing albums and going on tour. I saw him in Louisville Gardens in the early '80s and that night still lives in my head.
Like his song said. "When it all comes down, look for me, I'll still be around..."
I'm so glad you're still recording and performing, I'm 13 and you're one of my favourite artists. Any chance of coming to Perth, Western Australia soon... thanks for the music.
